Possible to make money with online freelancing, without doing the “monkey work” yourself?
Last week I revealed how you can do online freelancing on Upwork.com, trading hours for money by doing simple jobs online and getting paid for it. If you took action with that last week, then by today you could already have had a online job that pays between $5 and $50/hour, and made some honest money. Many people spent 20+ hrs drinking and braaing this weekend. With the same amount of time, you could have made 20 x $20 = $400 (R7 000) during the weekend…
Today I want to tell you how you can scale up the first tactic and make money with online freelancing, without having to do the work yourself. YES, you can actually get paid for jobs without having to do the monkey work yourself.
How do you do this? You turn the freelancing into a business and manage it as an agency. This means you simply OUTSOURCE the tasks. Its really simple to do this:
1. First you apply for jobs on Upwork with a fixed price, that pay well, and are relatively simple, even if you dont know how to do the job yourself. As an example: You find a job to “create a company logo and branding”, paying $300.
2. Now you advertise this same job for a much lower rate, on the same or other freelancing sites. TIP: Use fiverr.com for cheap outsourcing. ie. for a Logo design you pay less than $20 on fiverr.com.
3. You get the outsourced worker to complete the $300 upwork job, and submit it. You get paid the $300, and pay your Worker his $20. You pocket $280 in net profit, from just managing your worker and staying in contact with the original employer.
4. Its recommended you start with simple tasks, that you can easily and quickly outsource. Once you find dependable, cheap workers to work for you, you can start taking on more jobs and bigger jobs and scale your business this way. At the end of the day you can have an entire freelancing business/agency, where you take many jobs at once, and have many workers working for you. And best thing is – you dont have to do any of the boring work yourself, You simply manage everything.
Obviously there are many ways to do this. You can focus on a specific category of jobs, and slowly branch out to other types of jobs. You will quickly through trial and error find out which jobs are the easiest to manage and keep the clients happy with. The sky really is the limit when it comes to this business model. It has big profit potential and has a very low amount of capital that you need to put in as cash flow. You can start with small jobs and branch out to bigger jobs. Its all a learning process.
Literally anyone can start this business model, and it can be very exciting, as you have the option of growing this into something big. Something that can be a permanent business and income stream for you.
No more excuses! Only success. Please let me know if you are giving this a go, and email me if have any questions. I will help where I can.
