One of the biggest things most of my Elite IM Academy coaching students struggle with with in product creation is finding a hot topic for their first product, so hopefully in this post I will be able to shed some light on this for you.
The problem that most of you have is that you are totally over-thinking this. You should NOT spend weeks on deciding on your first product idea. You don’t have to get this perfect the first time around. Its just super important that you create you first digital product, and get it out there to start earning some money.
The first product launch that you have is going to be a HUGE learning opportunity, so don’t be afraid of getting some things wrong. Your first product is never going to be perfect and its not worth the time and effort to spend months, or thousands of dollars creating your first product.
Its best that you create a quick product, that you can launch at a lower price point, and make some quick money with it. You can always decide on a better product idea later. Or maybe you even get a few new ideas while finishing your first product. Its all a work in progress. You can even change your niche or product topics after your first product launch if you want. Remember, you are in this for the long hall – so DON’T over complicate things. Just run with it and follow the training!
Here are some quick product type ideas to get you moving if you still don’t have an idea:
A. Done-for-you campaigns work well as products for WSO launches.
1. ie. Create affiliate marketing campaigns, and sell those to customers. ie.
STEP1 – find a few high converting products on Clickbank or Jvzoo.
Step2 – Create promotional tools, like email swipes for them, that people can plug into their autoresponder to promote to their list, or write a few articles soft selling the product or even create a few banners for the product, or write a few promotional tweets or facebook page updates promoting it.
You can easily do all of these and package it in a bundle to sell. (or outsource the creation of these on places like odesk or warriors for hire) For your upsell on this, you can even have a monthly membership giving packages like this on a monthly bases. No membership site needed, simply email it to your customers, or setup a protected WordPress site. the sky is the limit!
2. Create Ad campaigns:
Step1 – create a few FB ads, media buying ads, solo ads, PPC/ PPV ads promoting a few affiliate products or CPA offers.
Step2- Take the ads that perform well, record their success and put this in a done-for you package bundle. ie. the ad copy, the banners you used, the products you promoted, your strategy for doing this etc.
Step3- People hate testing things out themselves, so you can give them all these done-for-you campaigns as a product that you launch. You can use your own experience with it as case studies. So you can even sell the case studies as an One time offer. or package extra done for you campaigns as upsells. There are many opportunities for these!
B. Quick “How to” type Video screencapture type training product
Don’t like writing? This is the way to go! Just get Camstudio, or Camtasia or Google “free screencapture video software” etc.
Use this to record how you do certain things. ie. “How to set up high converting FB ads” Then just create a facebook ad, step by step, and record exacltly what you do, on screen. Ta DAAA!! You have a product you can sell. Other ideas include “Finding hot converting products to promote as an affiliate”. (Get info from doing some research on Google, or even from what you learned in this Academy)
